Ubisoft has announced that more than 6.4 Million people played The Division's open beta across PC, Play Station 4 and Xbox One.
An incredible record has been broken by The Division, numbers show us that this is probably the biggest record of all time in player count. The last record was broken by The Destiny's beta in summer 2014 attracted 4.6 million players, though the game was also in PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Activision said this was the biggest number for a new IP in that time. But today, the record belongs to The Division.
There's more: Ubisoft also annouced some statistical data throughout the beta. The numbers show that The Division beta players stay logged in an average of five hours in the game, with two average hours spent per player in the beta's Dark Zone.
The Division's open beta started on February 18 on PS4, PC and Xbox One. It's over and no longer available now.
The game will be released on March 8.
